iCaur showcases electric SUV camping at Malaysia CampFest 2026

Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology is changing how people head outdoors, essentially turning an electric car into a giant portable power bank. Instead of lugging around noisy fuel-heavy generators or power stations, campers can plug electronics, camps lights, mini-fridges and cooking gear directly into the vehicle. With this capability, iCaur used Malaysia Campfest to showcase how easily an EV can power an entire campsite off the grid.

iCaur Malaysia served as the presenting partner of Malaysia CampFest 2026 at Tému Campground in Rawang, Selangor, from 16 to 18 October. The three-day festival drew 246 overnight campers alongside iCaur owners for campfires, outdoor games, wellness sessions, tea experiences, food and live entertainment.

The iCaur basecamp experience

At the Exclusive iCaur Camping Zone, owners lined up their retro-styled electric SUVs to serve as basecamps. Campers and visitors gathered around the vehicles after dark, swapped setups and got a close look at the featured model, the iCaur V23.

The main highlight at camp was the vehicle’s support for V2L technology. In plain terms, V2L allows the car to act as a giant wall socket on wheels, letting you plug standard household appliances directly into the car’s battery.

Depending on the variant, the iCaur V23 comes equipped with either a 59.94 kWh or a larger 81.8 kWh battery, capable of outputting 3.3 kW of external power.

The vehicle’s quiet, emission-free electric drive suited the campground setting, while its boxy cabin offered practical cargo space for packing outdoor gear. The setup demonstrated that the SUV is built to handle weekend trips, not just city commuting.

What “Born To Play” means

The event highlighted iCaur’s brand slogan, “Born To Play,” which frames the car as a tool for adventure rather than basic than basic transportation.

“Born To Play is not a tagline we want people to read. It’s something we want them to live,” said Daniel Lai, marketing director of iCaur Malaysia. “Malaysia CampFest put our cars where they belong: out in nature, surrounded by people having a good time.”

The retro electric SUV is built for drivers who seek vehicles that match their lifestyle, combining classic design cues with electric performance. CampFest was the start of iCaur’s plan to bring its owners together, with more group get-togethers and community events planned for the coming months.
