Just hours before Sony’s IFA event in Berlin, the folks at XperiaBlog had revealed more press shots of the new Xperia Z3 flagship. Remember the word “Cu” in their teaser video? That turns out to be their new colour, replacing its signature purple that was iconic on the Xperia Z, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2.
Since the colour gold is getting too mainstream, Copper seems to be a better way to stand out from the crowd. If that and the typical black or white colours isn’t your cup of tea, there’s also a forth colour which looks like light green or lime. In terms of specs, the Xperia Z3 is now speculated to be having a similar 5.2″ Full HD display and it runs on a more newer 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and expandable 16GB of storage. The back camera retains the similar 20.7MP 1/2.3″ Exmor RS sensor, while the front gets a 2MP shooter. Meanwhile the battery is a slight notch down at 3,100mAh (down from 3,200mAh on the Xperia Z2).
Sony is really revamping not just the hardware but also the looks and colour options of its line up. Earlier on, a fresh batch of images of the Xperia Z3 Compact reveals a new green and orange/red colour options that has a translucent looking effect. On top of that, there’s also a closer look at their new SmartBand that comes with an e-ink display.
Check out the rest of the images after the break.
