Maybank has officially introduced its limited edition Maybank Visa BTS World Tour Arirang Debit Card in Malaysia.
With initial physical branch allocations selling out rapidly across the country, fans looking to secure the card should now stand by for the official Maybank2u online rollout on 28 September 2026.
What is the Maybank BTS World Tour Arirang debit card?
The card is an exclusive limited edition Visa debit card released in collaboration with Visa for the BTS World Tour Arirang. It links directly to any existing or new Maybank current or savings account, including popular options like a standard Savings Account i.
Maybank has capped total nationwide issuance to 200,000 cards. Following the instant sell out of physical branch quotas, remaining card stock will be made available strictly through online applications.
Additional features compared to a standard Maybank debit card
While core banking functions mirror standard Maybank debit cards, the BTS edition includes several exclusive perks and modern payment integrations.
Cardholders can add the Maybank Visa BTS World Tour Arirang Debit Card to Apple Pay and Samsung Wallet. This allows users to make contactless mobile payments directly from an iPhone, Apple Watch, or compatible Samsung Galaxy device without needing the physical card on hand.
Beyond mobile wallet support and limited edition artwork, getting the card grants an immediate advantage in Maybank and Visa’s official concert ticket giveaway. While standard debit cardholders must accumulate spending to qualify, obtaining this limited edition card automatically awards an entry into the prize draw.
In terms of banking capabilities, the card operates on the Visa network with smart chip security, contactless highway toll support, and standard fee structures, including the standard RM12 replacement fee.
How to win BTS World Tour Arirang concert tickets in Kuala Lumpur
Maybank and Visa are running a contest from 23 September 2026 until 1 November 2026, offering cardholders a chance to win pairs of tickets to the BTS World Tour Arirang concert at National Stadium Bukit Jalil on 12 December 2026.
To participate, cardholders must first register by sending an SMS with the word BTS to the number 66628, or register through the dedicated Maybank2u promotion page.
Once registered, users can earn entries through multiple qualifying actions:
- Automatic entry: Successfully applying for or replacing an existing card with the limited edition BTS debit card awards one automatic entry.
- Cumulative spending: Every cumulative RM400 spent on eligible retail transactions using any Maybank Visa debit card during the campaign period earns one entry.
- Additional spending: Every subsequent RM400 spent yields additional entries to boost winning chances.
Transactions involving eWallet top ups, government payments, and charity donations are excluded from eligible spend. Winners will be selected through Maybank’s randomiser system, with each cardmember eligible to win a maximum of one pair of tickets.
How to apply for the Maybank BTS World Tour Arirang debit card?
With physical branch allocations fully exhausted, all remaining card requests must be submitted online when portal access opens on 28 September 2026.
Existing Maybank customers
Existing Maybank debit cardholders do not need to visit a branch or collect cards in person. You can request a card replacement online via Maybank2u starting 28 September 2026.
To place an order, log in to Maybank2u on the web, navigate to Settings, select Cards, go to Manage Debit Cards, and click Replace or Renew Card.
Select the BTS card, enter your mailing address, and confirm the request using Secure2u or SMS TAC. The card will be delivered directly to your home address for a standard RM12 replacement fee.
Delivery times may exceed thirty days during periods of high demand. If card allocations run out completely before your request processes, Maybank will issue a full refund of the replacement fee.
Non-Maybank customers
If you do not currently hold a Maybank account, you cannot directly order a card replacement online as a first time applicant. New customers must first open an account with Maybank.
You can set up an account online through the MAE app or visit any Maybank branch with your MyKad or passport and a standard RM250 deposit, or RM50 with an employment letter.
Once your account is active and registered on Maybank2u, you can stand by to request the BTS debit card replacement via Maybank2u starting 28 September 2026.
Transaction limits and security settings
The card comes with a default daily purchase limit of RM3,000, which can be increased up to RM10,000 via Maybank2u or adjusted at any Maybank ATM. Each card carries a validity period of seven years from issuance.
Cardholders planning to use the card for online shopping or overseas ATM cash withdrawals must manually activate ecommerce and overseas transaction features inside Maybank2u prior to making transactions.
