Voyah Dream 9 will be heading to Malaysia soon. This was confirmed by Volt Auto, the distributor of Dongfeng passenger vehicles in Malaysia, to members of the local media ahead of the MPV’s grand launch in China.
Also known as the Voyah Dreamer 9 in China, both the fully electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions of the new MPV will be released in Malaysia. Volt Auto did not reveal the exact launch timeframe, but it is targeting Q1 2027.
Voyah is a sub-brand of Dongfeng that focuses on premium-class New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). Hence, you may notice that Voyah products come with a more elaborate design and elevated features compared to the mainstream Dongfeng lineup.
Volt Auto previously showcased the Voyah Dream—the predecessor of the Dream 9—at the KL International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026 back in June.

From these images, you can tell that the Dream 9 is a massive vehicle. CarNewsChina reported that this MPV measures 5,325mm long, 1,998mm wide, and 1,805mm tall, with a 3,200mm wheelbase.
Equipped with a front double wishbone and a five-link rear suspension, the MPV also has a 3-chamber air suspension system and dual-valve Electronic Damper Control (EDC). In addition, it comes with bi-directional rear-wheel steering that helps the large MPV manoeuvre smoothly.
The BEV version of the Dream 9 is fitted with a 175kW (235hp) front motor and a 300kW (402hp) rear motor. Powered by a 120kWh ternary battery, it can deliver a CLTC-rated range of 701km (est. 575km WLTP).
Meanwhile, the PHEV variant features a combination of a 1.5L turbocharged engine and two electric motors, yielding a combined power output of 555kW (744hp). While the total combined range was not listed, the Dream 9 PHEV is said to offer a WLTP-rated pure electric range of 300km from its 65kWh battery.
Both variants feature an 800V architecture that enables blazingly fast DC charging. According to CarNewsChina’s report, charging from 20% to 80% takes just 12 minutes.
Inside, the Dream 9 comes with 2nd-row zero-gravity seats that not only feature a mechanical massage function but can also rotate, allowing the cabin space to be adapted for various scenarios. The MPV also includes a built-in 13L cooler/heater box, dual 15.6-inch infotainment screens, a ceiling-mounted 21.4-inch screen for 2nd-row passengers, tray tables, and smart privacy glass for the rear windows.
With 11 airbags, the Dream 9 boasts Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities powered by Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5.0 smart driving system.
