Samsung Malaysia is raising the prices of selected Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G variants in Malaysia, with the new recommended retail prices taking effect from 7 September 2026.

The latest revision comes just over a month after Samsung Malaysia increased the prices of the Galaxy A07 and Galaxy A17.

Similar to the previous price revision, Samsung attributed the latest adjustment to continued increases in global component costs, particularly for memory chips and RAM.

However, not every Galaxy A37 and A57 variant is getting more expensive. While two variants will cost RM200 more, Samsung is also reducing the price of the entry-level Galaxy A57 5G by RM220.

Effective 7 September 2026, the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G will be priced as follows:

  • Galaxy A57 5G 12GB+512GB – RM2,899 (Previously RM2,699) +RM200
  • Galaxy A57 5G 12GB+256GB – RM2,399 (No change)
  • Galaxy A57 5G 8GB+256GB – RM2,099 (Previously RM2,319) -RM220
  • Galaxy A37 5G 12GB+256GB – RM2,199 (Previously RM1,999) +RM200
  • Galaxy A37 5G 8GB+256GB – RM1,899 (No change)

The top-spec 12GB+512GB version now costs RM500 more than the 12GB+256GB model, while the 8GB+256GB version is RM300 cheaper than the 12GB+256GB option.

For the Galaxy A37 5G, the 12GB+256GB version now commands a RM300 premium over the 8GB+256GB model. Previously, the price difference between the 12GB and 8GB RAM variants was only RM100.

Samsung said it has continued to make efforts to absorb rising component costs and minimise the impact on consumers. However, it said sustained cost pressures across the industry have made the latest price adjustment necessary.

The company added that it remains committed to balancing innovation and value, while highlighting the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G’s performance, durability, AI-powered experiences and long-term software and security support.

Samsung has raised Galaxy A series prices twice in two months

Samsung Galaxy A17

This isn’t Samsung Malaysia’s first Galaxy A series price adjustment in recent months.

In July, Samsung increased the prices of selected Galaxy A07 and Galaxy A17 variants by RM120 to RM200.

The Galaxy A07 LTE 8GB+256GB went from RM899 to RM1,049, while the Galaxy A07 5G 8GB+256GB increased from RM1,029 to RM1,149.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A17 LTE 8GB+256GB was increased from RM949 to RM1,149, while the Galaxy A17 5G 8GB+256GB went from RM1,149 to RM1,299.

With rising memory costs, expect to pay more for tech products including smartphones, tablets and computers. While most brands have resorted to price increase, some have even downgraded their specs by offering less RAM and storage compared to its predecessors.
