Vibe Mobile has officially launched its services in Malaysia offering monthly prepaid plans that start from RM17/month.
The Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) had recently signed its wholesale access agreement with U Mobile which enables them to offer consumer plans powered by U Mobile’s ULTRA5G network. U Mobile recently shared that their network has exceeded 85% 5G population coverage.
According to Vibe Mobile, it aims to deliver more than just connectivity. The brand says its offering is built for today’s digitally connected consumers and they are combining mobile plans with a growing ecosystem of rewards, lifestyle privileges and digital features to make everyday connectivity more rewarding and relevant.
Besides normal data plans with voice calls, the MVNO is also offering Vibe Mobile Points, which is a loyalty programme that allows customers to earn rewards through their subscription and engagement with the platform. They are working to introduce travel-related rewards and exclusive experiences to create extra value for customers.
As the ecosystem grows, customers will be given more opportunities to unlock meaningful benefits.
Monthly Vibe Prepaid Plans
At the moment, Vibe Mobile is only offering prepaid plans but there are signs on their website that Postpaid plans will be introduced later.
The prepaid plans range from as little as RM17 to RM47 and the data is split between mobile and hotspot usage for plans below RM40. Here’s the breakdown of the plans:
- Vibe 17 – 20GB (10GB mobile + 10GB hotspot) – RM17/month
- Vibe 27 – 50GB (25GB mobile + 25GB hotspot) – RM27/month
- Vibe 37 – 200GB (100GB mobile + 100GB hotspot) – RM37/month
- Vibe 47 – 300GB (Sharable for both mobile + hotspot) – RM47/month
The above plans are valid for 30 days and come with unlimited voice calls to all networks. If you need to use SMS, it costs 15 sen per message.
If you need more data, they offer 10GB Booster for RM10 and 30GB Booster for RM30. It is also mentioned that Unlimited speed is subject to network availability and device capability, and all data usage is subject to Vibe Mobile’s Fair Usage Policy.
Daily, Weekly and Monthly options
For greater flexibility, Vibe Mobile also offers daily, weekly and yearly plan options.
The Vibe daily plan costs RM3 per day which offers 3GB of data, while the Vibe weekly option costs RM10 which comes with 15GB of data and unlimited calls.
For casual and light users, Vibe Mobile offers a yearly option for RM150 per year. The yearly plan comes with 10GB of data and 60 minutes of calls each month. If you need unlimited calls, you can add-on for RM15.
Data Rollover and Convert Data to Points
To avoid wastage, Vibe Mobile allows you to carry forward up to 100GB of unused data to the next month if you have auto-renewal enabled for the monthly plan.
They are also allowing customers to convert remaining data into loyalty reward points instantly which is limited to 100GB plan based on 1GB = 1 point.
To get started, you can purchase a Vibe Mobile starter Pack for RM5 which comes with 1GB of data valid for 5 days and 100 Reward Points included. For plans without call minutes, it will cost you 30 sen per minute, while SMS are charged at 15 sen each.
Besides visiting a participating Vibe Mobile dealer to get the physical SIM, the MVNO also offers eSIM as well via its Vibe Mobile app. You can download the app and sign up for an eSIM immediately via Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
