Tesla Malaysia says there are more than 16,000 Tesla vehicles across on Malaysian roads, as the brand remains committed to accelerate long-term value creation in Malaysia through strong vehicle momentum, expanded supercharger network and regular software updates.
It added that its Tesla Supercharger network has grown to 84 charging stalls across 19 locations nationwide, with more sites planned for Penang, Perak and the Klang Valley.
Besides expanding its charging network, Tesla also highlighted several new software features arriving through its latest Summer 2026 over-the-air (OTA) update, including additional capabilities for its Grok AI Assistant.
Tesla now offers free Supercharging credits, trade-in deals and low interest-rate for new orders
As mentioned earlier, there are now more than 16,000 Tesla vehicles on Malaysian roads as of June 2026. The company also claims that the Model Y remains Malaysia’s number one imported-brand EV, while the Model 3 is the country’s best-selling electric sedan in June 2026.
Based on the recent JPJ registration data, the Model Y is the third most popular EV model in June 2026 with 526 units, while the Model 3 follows closely at #4 with 409 units.
Tesla also highlighted the arrival of the Model Y L in Malaysia, saying deliveries began on 4 June in Peninsular Malaysia and 4 July in East Malaysia.
Following its latest price revision, the Tesla Model 3 now starts from RM149,000 for the base RWD model and the Model Y is now priced from RM198,000 for the Premium RWD variant.
To sweeten the deal, Tesla now offers 3,000km worth of complimentary Supercharging credits for new orders. Buyers of the Model Y Premium RWD can also choose to enjoy either a RM13,000 trade-in rebate or a 0.88% financing programme.

Tesla says its Malaysian Supercharger network currently consists of 84 Supercharger stalls across 19 locations. It added that more sites are planned for Penang, Perak and the Klang Valley.
While Tesla hasn’t reveal specific locations or opening dates, some of the recent spotted Supercharger sites include Aeon Kinta City and Queensbay Mall.
The company says its expanding EV charging network will enable cross-border travel from Singapore through Malaysia to Thailand. With more chargers deployed, Tesla owners would be able to travel with confidence knowing that there are high-speed charging along key regional routes for tourism, business and long-distance travels.
Globally, Tesla says they have added over 2,400 net new Supercharger stalls in Q2 which represents a 17% growth year on year. As of end Q2 2026, Tesla has 8,704 Supercharger stations and 82,357 stalls installed globally.
Tesla also emphasised its seamless regional experience with cross-country warranty coverage, service access and connectivity for owners to travel cross-border with confidence and peace of mind.
It also shared that its first Destination Charging location in East Malaysia is located in voco Kuching.
Summer 2026 update brings more Grok AI Assistant features
Tesla added that customers continue to get the latest features including AI advancements through Over-The-Air (OTA) updates. After introducing over 300 new and updated features globally last year, Tesla has just introduced more features with its latest Summer 2026 release which enhances Grok AI Assistant capabilities.
Among the new Grok features include the ability to make phone calls, search & play music and adjust climate control.
Tesla says automatic navigation has also been expanded beyond home and work, to support any destination based on driver’s personal habits and schedule. It added that the new enhancements strengthen the seamless and intelligent ownership experience for owners.
Separately, the company said it has more than doubled its onsite compute capacity in Texas during the first half of 2026. It shared that Cortex 2 is actively supporting the development of autonomy software for both vehicles and humanoid robots.
