U Mobile ULTRA5G Coverage Map
If you want to know if your location is covered by U Mobile’s ULTRA5G network, the orange telco has added a coverage map checker on their website. You can search by entering the name of building, road, state, postcode or city.

To recap, ULTRA5G by U Mobile is the name of Malaysia’s second 5G network which offers 5G Standalone (5G SA) capabilities. However, take note that you’ll need to use supported devices and compatible U Mobile postpaid plans to take advantage of 5G SA on their network.
While its 5G network deployment is still ongoing, U Mobile customers still has access to Digital Nasional Berhad’s (DNB) 5G Network. Your device will indicate UM ULTRA5G if you’re connected to the ULTRA5G network. If you’re connected to DNB, it will be shown as U Mobile or U Mobile 5G SA.
U Mobile aims to achieve 80% 5G population coverage by H2 2026. For in-building coverage, it targets to cover 175 buildings within the first year and over 600 buildings within 4 years.
