Pro-Net has finally unwrapped Proton e.MAS 5 and showed off some of the EV’s colourways. While the company has previously named the 5 colourways for the car, the e.MAS 5 has been covered with camouflaged wrappings since it was first previewed at Malaysia Autoshow 2025 that took place 174 days ago.

Out of the 5 colour options, only 3 have been revealed today, including Marble Cream and Quartz Rose. Both of these colourways are exclusive to the e.MAS 5 Premium, and they also only come with Alabaster White interior.

The third option that Pro-Net has revealed today is the Graphite Silver, which is available for both e.MAS 5 Premium and Prime. This colourway also features Flint Grey interior – also available with units in Moonstone White and Slate Grey.

In case you are wondering which e.MAS 5 variants that these three pre-production units represent, all of them are the e.MAS 5 Premium. You can easily identify the Premium variant by its black roof and pillars.

Today’s colourway unveiling also took place right after Pro-Net concludes the Misi 5 Tour which allows the public to take a closer look at e.MAS 5 in 42 stops across 29 towns throughout Malaysia. With a tentative pricing of RM60,000 to RM80,000, the e.MAS 5 will be officially launched on this Thursday, 30 October.

Proton e.MAS 5 is already available for booking at any of 42 Proton e.MAS dealerships nationwide with a booking fee of RM99. The delivery of the new EV is expected to begin in November.

For the first 5,000 customers, they will be provided with an additional RM500 rebate on the booking fee. In addition to that, early adopters of e.MAS 5 will also receive the limited-edition Proton e.MAS Enhanced Touch ‘n Go NFC card, inclusive of RM100 pre-loaded credit.

Speaking about the 5,000 early customers, Pro-Net recently said that it has received over 4,000 bookings so far which means that Early Bird Package quota could be filled right before e.MAS 5’s grand launch later this week.

Proton e.MAS 5 Quick Specs

As noted earlier, the e.MAS 5 comes in two variants, including the high-spec e.MAS 5 Premium. Powered by a 40.16kWh LFP battery and featuring an 85kW (114hp) motor with 150Nm of torque, the Premium variant is capable of delivering a WLTP-rated range of 325km.

On the other hand, the e.MAS 5 Prime is equipped with a 30.12kWh LFP battery alongside a 58kW (78hp) motor with 130Nm of torque. Given the smaller battery capacity, the range of the Prime variant is also much lower at 225km according to the WLTP standards.

In terms of charging, the DC charging speed of e.MAS 5 Prime has not yet been revealed but Pro-Net said that it takes 21 minutes to charge this variant from 30% to 80%. The DC charging time is similar to the e.MAS 5 Premium which we know has a DC charging speed of 71kW.

Both e.MAS 5 variants are equipped with a 6.6kW 1-phase AC charging. It takes around 4.3 hours to charge the e.MAS 5 Prime from 10% to 100% via AC charging while the e.MAS 5 Premium takes slightly longer at 5.9 hours since it has a larger battery.

Other features that are exclusive to the Premium variant include 16-inch alloy wheels, a 360-degree camera, LED headlights, and a powered tailgate. The Premium variant also has an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that covers features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward & Rear Collision Warning (FCW/RCW), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), and many more.

There are still many features that both e.MAS Premium and Prime share, including 70L frunk, 28L rear underseat storage space, 375L to 1320L boot space, 14.6-inch full HD infotainment display with Atlas Auto operating system, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay support, integrated live EV charging map, Proton e.MAS App support, leatherette seats, rear-wheel drive setup, and rear multi-link suspension.
