Xiaomi has launched its 3rd Gen TV Box S here in Malaysia. This is the brand’s latest TV box that runs on Google TV, and now comes with upgrades such as a speedier processor.

Xiaomi 3rd Gen TV Box S specs and features
Like its predecessors, Xiaomi’s 3rd Gen TV Box S runs on the Google TV platform and comes with the Google Assistant voice assistant. It can stream at resolutions of up to 4K with HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision support, and for audio, you also get Dolby Audio and DTS:X.
To control the TV Box S, there’s the Bluetooth remote with voice control. The 3rd Gen TV Box S also comes with Xiaomi’s free streaming service, Xiaomi TV+, which offers live channels without a subscription.
Powering Xiaomi’s 3rd Gen TV Box S is a quad-core processor with clock speeds of up to 2.5GHz. Xiaomi says this chipset is 25% faster than the one found in the 2nd-gen model. The new chip is paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
Connectivity-wise, you get WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. At the back of the TV Box S, you will find an HDMI 2.1 port and a USB-A 2.0 port.
