The Huawei Band 10 has officially arrived in Malaysia and it’s more than just your regular fitness band with long battery life. Besides the regular fitness tracking and sleep monitoring features, the Huawei Band 10 supports TNG eWallet QR payments directly from your wrist.

By using the special promo code ABAND46, you can get RM46 off via official Huawei online store. This means the Durable Polymer Case version can be yours for only RM143 while the Aluminium Alloy version is going for only RM173.

Huawei Band 10 Specs and Features
The Huawei Band 10 is an ultra-light fitness band that measures at 8.99m thick and it weighs just 15g (without the strap). Upfront, it gets a 1.47″ AMOLED screen pushing 194×368 pixels resolution (282 ppi) that supports Always-on Display (AOD) and there’s also a physical button on the right side.
To customise your fitness band, Huawei is providing access to over 700 free watch faces. Equipped with a 9-axis IMU sensor, optical heart rate sensor and ambient light sensor, the Band 10 supports 100 workout modes as well as sleep tracking with Pro-Level Sleep analysis with TruSleep.
The Huawei Band 10 charges via a magnetic charging port and a full charge takes 45 minutes. If you’re in a hurry, Huawei says that a quick 5-minute charge is able to provide 2 days of usage. The fitness band is rated to last up to 14 days on a single charge, or up to 3 days with AOD enabled.
It also features 5 ATM water resistance, allowing it to be submerged up to 50 metres for swim tracking. For wider accessibility, the fitness band is compatible with both Android (9.0 or later) and iOS (13.0 or later) smartphones.
TNG eWallet QR on Huawei Band 10
A nifty feature for the Huawei Band 10 is TNG eWallet support, which was released locally early this year on Huawei smartwatches. Once you’ve linked your TNG eWallet to your Huawei wearable device, you can make QR payments directly from your wrist at merchants that support “Merchant Scan User” method.
According to Huawei, one TNG eWallet account is able to link up to a maximum of 3 wearable devices and there’s also a transaction limit. This feature can be used to enable cashless payments for children’s wearable device.
As mentioned earlier, this only works if the merchant scans the user’s QR code. If the retailer requires users to scan their QR code (“User Scan Merchant”), you’ll need to use the TNG eWallet app on your phone to make the payment.
