Pro-Net announced that 1,000 units of Proton e.MAS 7 have been delivered to customers across Malaysia. Launched into the market last December, it only took 77 days for Proton’s first production EV to achieve the milestone.

As a comparison, it took 100 days for BYD Atto 3 to hit the same milestone. According to JPJ’s date for January 2025, Proton e.MAS 7 is the most popular EV in Malaysia during the said month with 421 registered units.

Based on a survey done by the company, Pro-Net said that 58% of e.MAS 7 buyers choose the EV due to its value-for-money proposition. Other major reasons listed by customers include spaciousness and practicality, advanced safety features, and the live integrated charging map.

The NEV subsidiary of Proton has also revealed that it has now secured over 4,500 bookings for e.MAS 7. The company is confident that this number will increase to 6,000 bookings very soon, especially with the help of the recent launch rebate extension.

Through the RM4,000 launch rebate, one can get their hands on the e.MAS 7 Prime for RM105,800 instead of its original RM109,800 price tag. Likewise, the rebate also helps reduce the price tag for the higher-end e.MAS 7 Premium variant from RM123,800 to RM119,800.

Aside from the rebate, e.MAS 7 buyers will also receive a welcome package which includes:

  • Complimentary 7kW home charger worth RM1,500
  • Complimentary Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) adaptor worth RM500
  • 5-year unlimited in-car internet data worth RM1,800

The e.MAS 7 is covered by a 6-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty alongside an 8-year / 160,000km warranty of high voltage battery, driving motor, and driving motor controller. Pro-Net has previously said that customers will be provided with a 1 to 1 battery replacement if the state of health (SoH) for the e.MAS 7’s high voltage battery falls below 70% during the warranty period.

Proton e.MAS 7 Specs and Features recap

To recap, the Proton e.MAS 7 Prime and Premium both come with a single front motor that delivers 160kW (215hp) and 320Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds, up to a top speed of 175km/h.

The e.MAS 7 uses an Aegis Short Blade LFP battery with a 49.52kWh capacity for the Prime version and a larger 60.22kWh capacity for the Premium version. The Proton e.MAS 7 Prime has a WLTP-rated range of up to 345km on a single charge while the e.MAS 7 Premium can do up to 410km of WLTP-rated range.
