Samsung Galaxy S25 series might look pretty familiar, but is that a camera shutter button?

We’ve previously reported that Samsung’s next generation of non-foldable flagship smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, is expected to launch on the 22nd of January, 2025, at least according to a leaked poster.

The Galaxy S25 series is most probably going to consist of the standard trio of models, including the vanilla Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25+, and the range-topping Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, if you look closely at the poster, there seem to be a total of four devices placed side by side. Could the fourth model be the much-rumoured “Galaxy S25 Slim“?

Here’s possibly what the Galaxy S25 series will look like

Anyhow, despite us still being more than a month away from the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, what appears to be live photos of the devices have been leaked online by well-known tech leakers.

This includes photos of the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which seem to look pretty much familiar, without major design changes from the current Galaxy S24 series.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in particular looks pretty recognisable, sporting minor design changes such as subtle rounded edges around the corners and larger camera bumps for its quad rear camera setup.

Speaking of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it’s also said to come with one of the thinnest bezels in the business, according to another serial leakster, Ice Universe. Those bezels are said to be even thinner than those on the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Xiaomi 15.

Evan Blass, a famous serial tech leaker, also shared the list of colour options for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. You may read more about that here.

Is that a dedicated camera shutter button on the Galaxy S25+?

However, one interesting design change, or addition, would be a new pill-shaped recessed area on the right side of the Galaxy S25+.

It might look like a dedicated camera shutter button, but considering that the phone in the photo is a US model, based on its “SM-S936U” model number, that could most likely be the phone’s mmWave antenna instead. Still, we would prefer to wait till the actual launch of the phone to confirm this.

Samsung “Galaxy S25 Slim” to launch on 22nd January too?

However, the only other phone we really want to take a look at is the “Slim” variant, which there are no leaked photos of just yet. But if we’re to guess, it could feature a similar design to the Galaxy S25 and S25+, but with a thinner body.

By the way, many are expecting this slimmed-down flagship smartphone to be introduced in a separate launch event, most probably in mid-2025 at the earliest. Still, this is just speculation after all, as we could be wrong, considering the four phones featured in the poster.
