The Realme GT 7 Pro has just made its launch in Malaysia as the nation’s first smartphone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It’s offered with a single configuration with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

To be made available starting tomorrow (19th November 2024), you can get the Realme GT 7 Pro with free gifts worth RM698 on a first come first serve basis. This includes a Realme Buds Air 5 earbuds along with a 1-year extended warranty.
Realme GT 7 Pro has the industry’s largest silicon anode battery
Besides being the first Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone in Malaysia, the Realme GT 7 Pro is also claimed to sport the industry’s largest silicon anode battery, measuring 6,500mAh.
Realme reckons that with a full charge, the phone can last up to 510 hours on standby, 20 hours playing videos on YouTube, and play music for up to 76 hours using Spotify.
But when you do run out of battery with the GT 7 Pro, it can be charged via Realme’s 120W SuperVooc technology via USB-C, which the company says can replenish the phone from 0 to 50% in 14 minutes, and all the way to full in 37 minutes.
Realme GT 7 Pro has the industry’s first Underwater Photography Mode
With Underwater Photography Mode activated, you can capture clear images and videos when the phone is below the surface, thanks to its IP69 rating which makes it resistant towards dust and water for up to 2 meters deep and 30 minutes long.
In fact, you don’t need to launch the Underwater Photography Mode manually as the phone will automatically switch to this mode when its sensors detect that the phone is underwater. Also, its ultrasonic fingerprint sensor will continue to work when underwater, allowing you to unlock your smartphone below the surface.
Realme GT 7 Pro’s 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display can go up to 6,500 nits
Offered in two colourways – Mars Orange and Galaxy Grey, the Realme GT 7 Pro features a glass sandwich design with an aluminium frame.
At its front is a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This panel has a peak brightness of 6,500 nits. As mentioned above, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
In the imaging department, the Realme GT 7 Pro sports a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with a 1/1.56” Sony IMX906 sensor featuring OIS, a 50MP f/2.65 telephoto camera, and an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide angle shooter. Handling selfies is a 16MP f/2.45 front camera.
The smartphone also comes with a series of AI features. This, among others, includes Sketch to Image, AI Motion Deblur, and AI Eraser 2.0. Software-wise, the Realme GT 7 Pro runs on Realme UI 6.0, built atop Android 15.
