Huawei Malaysia has announced the MateBook D 14 2024, its latest affordable laptop powered by 13th Gen Intel Core processors. As part of its introductory offer, Huawei is bundling extra freebies worth up to RM846.

At the moment, Huawei Malaysia is only offering a single Intel Core i5 variant and here’s the official pricing:

Buyers of the MateBook D 14 2024 will also receive a Huawei Bluetooth Mouse (worth RM149), Microsoft 365 (worth RM199), Huawei Backpack (worth RM199) and the option to extend the warranty by 1 year (worth RM299). These freebies are available while stocks last.
If you’re interested, you can purchase it online through the Huawei Store, Lazada and Shopee. At the time of writing, the laptop is offered only in Mystic Silver.
Huawei MateBook D 14 2024 Specs and Features
The Huawei MateBook D 14 2024 features a 14″ 16:10 IPS screen that pushes 1920×1200 pixels resolution. It has a 90% screen-to-body ratio, a maximum brightness of 300 nits and a contrast ratio of 1200:1.
Under the hood, it runs on 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13420H with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and it is paired with 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD. The MateBook D 14 2024 with its metallic body measures 15.9mm thick and weighs 1.39kg.
One of the main highlights is the laptop’s Huawei Metaline Antenna which is said to be able to extend the WiFi reception up to a range of 270m. According to Huawei, file download speeds can be increased by as much as 43% and it features anti-interference and wall penetration features for an optimal wireless connection.
If you own multiple compatible Huawei devices, the laptop also supports multi-screen collaboration allowing you to seamlessly drag and drop files between PC and other devices. For a better multi-tasking experience, you can even use the tablet as a secondary screen for your laptop.
In terms of connectivity, it supports 802.11ax 160MHz WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The laptop comes with a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port (supports charging, display, data), USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, USB-A 2.0 port, 1x HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Other features include a 1MP front camera, a power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor, a pair of speakers and a pair of microphones. For a better online meeting experience, the MateBook D 14 2024 also offers integrated Beauty, FollowCam, Eye Contact and Virtual Background features for video calls.
The MateBook D 14 2024 is powered by a 56Wh battery rated to last up to 13 hours of video playback on a full charge. The laptop is bundled with a 65W USB-C power adapter and it runs on Microsoft Windows 11 Home out of the box.
