Proton’s new energy technology arm, Pro-Net, has announced a public EV charging collaboration with ChargeSini which will expand its EV charging ecosystem footprint. With the latest partnership, Smart EV owners will soon be able to seamlessly activate more EV chargers, covering over 75% of total public EV charging points in Malaysia.

Through the Hello Smart App, Smart #1 and Smart #3 EV owners can currently find and activate chargers operated by Gentari, JomCharge and ChargEV which represents over 70% of public charge points. Through the integration with ChargeSini, Smart users will able to enjoy a similar seamless charging experience for ChargeSini EV charging locations which cover hotels, shopping malls and supermarkets.

The integration is set to be completed by Q3 2024, and users would be able to view ChargeSini charge points in the updated Hello Smart app in Q3.

According to Pro-Net, with the Hello smart app and the In-car Navigation System(DHU), customers can effortlessly search and locate charging stations, eliminating range anxiety while navigating to their destination and benefiting from live status capabilities that ensure they are always informed about the availability of charging points. Through this seamless integration, smart car users can initiate charging sessions and conduct payments directly within the Hello smart app, eliminating the need for multiple applications.
