CES 2024 is in full swing and the crazy new products are rolling out already. Acer is one of the major manufacturers on show and their highlight new monitor is undoubtedly the Predator Z57, an insanely huge gaming monitor that will require not just a high end PC to run it, but likely a sturdy enough desk to handle all 57-inches of it.

Acer Predator Z57

The Acer Predator Z57 is a 57-inch, MiniLED gaming monitor in a super ultrawide 32:9 aspect ratio, pushing a ‘DUHD’ resolution that’s pretty much two 4K UHD monitors placed side-by-side to form a 7680 x 2160p resolution. Being a MiniLED panel, the Predator Z57 features 2,304 dimming zones and has a max brightness of 1,000nits with DisplayHDR 1000 support. It is also capable of up to a 120Hz refresh rate, has AMD FreeSync Premium support and a 1000R curve. As for colour accuracy, Acer says that it covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

You’ll also find a pair of 10W speakers built into the Predator Z57, and a 100 x 100mm VESA mount on the back will let you mount it to a wall or your own monitor stand if you don’t want to use the stock tilt, swivel and height-adjustable ergonomic stand. For I/O, there’s not just two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.3 port for video input, but also a 90W USB-C PD port and a built-in KVM switch. You can even set up the Z57 to display video from two sources at once, making use of it being essentially dual 4K UHD displays.

It won’t be cheap though that’s for sure. While there’s no local pricing and availability details just yet, Acer has confirmed that it will be heading to China in Q1 2024, with North America and Europe getting it a couple months later with a starting price of CNY17,999 (~RM11,795.36) and USD2,499.99 (~RM11,636.20).
