Apart from its high-end Find 7, Oppo have refreshed one of its existing models to support faster 4G LTE. The Oppo R1S which was just revealed features a 5″ 720p HD display and runs on a Quad-Core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that’s mated to 1GB of RAM. This is an upgrade of its current Oppo R1 that runs on a Quad-Core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor but lacks 4G LTE.
Overall the device is pretty much the same as it retains the similar design with a slim 7.1mm thickness and 140g weight. It also gets 16GB of on-board storage and front facing 5MP camera. The rear camera has been upgraded from 8MP to 13MP and supports Full HD 1080p video recording. Out of the box, it runs on a newer Android 4.3 with Color OS.
The Oppo R1S is available in China for 2,498 Chinese Yuan which is about RM1,300. It comes with a choice of either White and Blue colours.
