Heading to Singapore anytime soon? You can now use your Touch ‘n Go eWallet at supported merchants in the city-state with your mobile device. There are also offers for Touch ‘n Go eWallet users from selected merchants as well.

The cross-country payment service is enabled by Alipay+, the payment service originally from China. This is also a follow-up from the recent MoU signed between the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), TNG Digital and Alipay+ which was signed last month.

Some of the perks Touch ‘n Go eWallet users can enjoy in Singapore include discounts on transportation, F&B and shopping. Additionally, users can also collect GoRewards points when they use their eWallet as well as their Visa Prepaid card in Singapore.

Since TNG eWallet is a partner wallet of Alipay+, TNG eWallet users will be able to go cashless in Singapore and enjoy extra benefits from Alipay+. In addition, TNG eWallet also supports Singapore’s NETS QR payment under the current cross-border arrangement via PayNet.

Some of the promos you can expect in Singapore:

  • Up to SGD10 off in Guardian
  • Up to SGD12 vouchers with Alipay+
  • Up to SGD35 off at Singapore Changi Airport
  • RM10 voucher with ComfortDelGro Taxi
  • RM5 off with BusOnlineTicket

You can check for the updated list of discounts and vouchers available in Singapore right in the Touch ‘n Go eWallet, under the A+ Rewards in the app.

The Touch ‘n Go eWallet can also automatically detect the country’s currency and deduct the amount of payment from the eWallet balance accordingly. There are currently over 130,000 merchant touchpoints in Singapore that can accept Touch ‘n Go eWallet payment, thanks to Alipay+.

For more information, head on to the Jalan-Jalan Singapore page by Touch ‘n Go right here.
