Samsung Malaysia has finally unveiled its latest “FE” series which includes the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Buds FE as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE tablet series. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE series comes in two sizes and is offered in WiFi only and 5G variants. Here’s the official pricing in Malaysia:

According to Samsung Malaysia, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series will be available locally starting from the 10th October 2023. The Tab S9 FE is offered in Gray and Lavender, while the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ comes only in Light Green and Grey in Malaysia.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Malaysia key specs
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE lineup is essentially the affordable alternative to the Galaxy Tab S9 series that was launched a few months ago. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE comes with a 10.9″ display while the larger Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ gets a 12.4″ size. Both use an LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Samsung Malaysia didn’t disclose the processor but in most markets, it is said to be running on an Exynos 1380 which is currently powering the Galaxy A54.
The Galaxy Tab FE comes with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM while the FE+ gets either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Both sizes are offered with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The tablet also supports microSD card expansion up to 1TB.
In the camera department, the smaller FE comes with a single 8MP rear camera while the FE+ gets a dual-camera setup featuring an 8MP main and 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. Across the board, Samsung has fitted a 12MP ultra-wide front camera for video calls and selfies.
Powering the tablets is an 8,000mAh battery for the FE and a larger 10,090mAh capacity for the FE+. According to Samsung, the tablets support 45W fast charging but the power adapter is not included.
Both tablets are running on Android 13 out of the box and will receive 4 generations of Android OS upgrades as well as 5 years of security updates. As you would expect from a “flagship-class” tablet, it also gets IP68-rated dust and water resistance. The S Pen is included in-box and it is also IP68-rated as well. Other accessories such as the Book Cover Keyboard, Book Cover Keyboard Slim, Smart Book Cover and Outdoor Cover are offered separately.
