Honor Malaysia has confirmed that it is launching its new Honor 90 series of smartphones on 20th July 2023. This is their new premium-mid-range smartphone which boasts a high-resolution 200MP camera and a 3840Hz PWM Dimming display which claims to offer a more comfortable viewing experience.
The Honor 90 Malaysian launch is scheduled for 8pm on 20th July 2023. You can watch the live-stream event on Honor Malaysia’s Facebook page and they are offering viewers a chance to win exclusive gifts. At the moment, they are running a promo where you can stand a chance to get the Honor 90 for only RM1. From the looks of it, the Honor 90 series will be going on sale starting 10am on 22nd July 2023 and they are giving away additional eWallet credit worth up to RM150.
Based on the global spec sheet, the Honor 90 features a 6.7″ 120Hz Full HD+ (2664×1200 pixels) AMOLED display. Honor says the display also boasts the industry’s first 3840Hz “risk-free” PWM Dimming which is aimed at combating eye fatigue while providing a hassle-free and enjoyable visual experience.
Under the hood, it runs on Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition processor. Depending on region, the device can be configured with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and a choice of either 256GB or 512GB of storage.
For taking pictures, the Honor 90 gets a triple-camera setup housed in a large “dual-camera” bump design. It gets a 200MP “Ultra-clear” f/1.9 main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2MP depth camera. The device can capture up to 16256×12192 pixels resolution for still shots and it also supports 4K video recording. For selfies, Honor has fitted a high-resolution 50MP front camera which also supports 4K video recording.
The Honor 90 also supports 5G, 802.11ax WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The device is powered by a larger 4,900mAh battery which supports Honor 66W SuperCharge. Out of the box, it runs on MagicOS 7.1 that’s based on Android 13. And yes, it does support Google Mobile Services and it has Google Play Store preloaded.
