The Nothing Phone (2)’s USB-C cable looks refreshing, but does it light up?

The Nothing Phone (2) is launching next month and it will be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Weeks before the global announcement, Nothing co-founder Carl Pei teased a picture of what appears to be the USB-C cable for the Nothing Phone 2. Like most Nothing products, the cable gets a semi-transparent design which looks pretty cool.

As shown in a close-up above, the cable gets a transparent outer case and it reveals the metal connector inside the USB-C head. There’s a dot-matrix style NOTHING printed on the inside, which is the same design treatment you’ll find on the Nothing Ear (2). Carl didn’t reveal further details about the cable. However, it would be interesting to see if it does light up like the Glyph interface on the back of the Nothing Phone.

Serial leakster @Onleaks recently revealed the purported design of Nothing Phone (2) and it looks pretty much the same as the first phone but with some minor differences. The bezels now appear to be more symmetrical, while the metal frame seems to be slightly rounded. There are some changes to the positioning of the LED strips on the back as there are more noticeable gaps between each element.

Shortly after the leaked renders surfaced online, Carl Pei randomly tweeted F a k e without any specific context.

The Nothing Phone (2) launch is happening at 12.00am (Malaysian time) on 12th July 2023. You can expect pre-orders to start shortly after the global launch.
