When you’re using WhatsApp, have you ever gone through a situation where you wanted to press “Delete for Everyone” in a message, but accidentally pressed “Delete for Me” instead? Well, WhatsApp is bringing a way to fix that by introducing an “undo” button for it.

The new feature, called “accidental delete”, will bring a five-second window to let users reverse the action of deleting messages for their own in an individual or group chat and delete them for everyone. It’s very similar to unsending an email if you’ve made a mistake.

It is available for individual chats as well as group chats. The new feature aims to help users reverse their original action if they’ve deleted something by mistake. But do take note that it needs to be done quickly because the undo button is only available for 5 seconds.

According to WhatsApp, its new offering would be available to all users on Android and iPhone. It was previously beta tested with some Android and iOS users in August.
