Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 2022 Malaysia Pricing

The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 WiFi with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage officially retails for RM4,299 in Malaysia. That’s RM300 more than last year’s version. If you want to purchase one, Huawei is bundling its Smart Magnetic keyboard, 2nd gen M-Pencil and exclusive HMS rewards worth RM1,300 in total.

If you’re interested, the MatePad Pro 12.6 is available on the official online store, Lazada and Shopee.

Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 2022 Specs

The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 features a 12.6″ 2560×1600 pixels resolution OLED display which supports a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It boasts 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 1.07 billion colours with a P3-wide colour gamut and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. Under the hood, it runs on a Kirin 9000E chipset, similar to last year’s model.

For imaging, it gets a 13MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 3D depth sensing camera at the rear, while the front comes with an 8MP shooter. The tablet comes with an 8-speaker setup tuned by Huawei Sound and it has AI noise cancellation technology which helps to reduce background noise during video calls.

The Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard attaches to the tablet via magnets and it is paired and powered immediately. The case offers two viewing angles for the tablet and you can project a compatible Huawei smartphone’s screen by simply tapping it on the shift button. The M-Pencil (2nd gen) supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensing and it can be charged and attached magnetically to the sides of the tablet. A quick 30-second charge is able to push 10 minutes of writing while a full charge in an hour is said to support 10 straight hours of writing.

Powering the tablet is a 10,050mAh battery which claims to deliver up to 13 hours of local video playback on a single charge. It supports 40W wired SuperCharge via USB-C and 27W wireless charging. The tablet also supports reverse wireless charging at 10W which you can use to charge other devices like your smartphone.

Overall, the MatePad Pro 12.6 weighs 609g and has a thickness of 6.5mm. Out of the box, it runs on HarmonyOS 3 and like most new Huawei devices, it doesn’t come with the Google Play Store and Google Mobile Services. However, you can still discover and download most popular apps from the Huawei AppGallery.
