HTC One Max Malaysia official

The gigantic HTC One Max with its 5.9″ Full HD display is now available in Malaysia. It’s 32GB storage model in Gracial Silver is priced at RM2,499 and you can get it through HTC retailers. If you’re looking for the Stealth Black unit, it will be available sometime in late December.

The One Max is the biggest among the HTC One trio with its 4.7″ HTC One (32GB) being priced at RM2,199 and its smallest 4.3″ HTC One mini (16GB) at RM1,699. All three feature HTC’s aluminium design which gives a more upmarket feel.

To recap, the HTC One Max is powered with a familiar Quad-Core Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz that’s mated with 2GB of RAM. Juicing up the battery is a mammoth capacity 3,300mAh battery which unfortunately is non user replaceable despite having a removable back cover. It comes with a storage option of 16GB and 32GB and 64GB and it is good to know that it now comes with an expandable microSD slot. New on the HTC One Max is a fingerprint scanner but from our hands-on it isn’t as practical to use as Apple’s Touch ID.

It retains the 4MP effective Ultrapixel camera and Boom Sound stereo speakers, albeit lacking Beats Audio. Unlike the HTC One, the One Max lacks Optical Image Stabilisation. Out of the box, it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.5 which was recently being rolled out to existing HTC One users.

You can compare the specs of the HTC One Max versus today’s latest smart phones such as Galaxy Note 3, Nexus 5 and Lumia 1520 here.
