Some iPhone 13 units are having random pink screen issue. Here’s a suggested solution

It has been reported that several iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro users are having an issue where the entire screen turns pink or magenta. The problem appears to happen unexpectedly and you can’t do anything until the device is reported.

The pink screen issue has been reported as early as October 2021 based on posts made on Apple’s community forum. Back then, the previous solution was to replace the entire phone at an authorised service centre.

It appears that the problem hasn’t been fixed completely as there are still some complaints from users. Since some have managed to take a screenshot that shows everything in pink, this is likely to be a software issue rather than a problem with the actual display.

The issue has also affected iPhone 13 users in China and it appears that Apple has issued a response on the matter. It was reported that Apple is advising users to back up their iPhone, perform a hard reset, and to upgrade the operating system to the latest iOS 15 version. There’s also a possibility of incompatibility between iOS apps and the iOS version. Users are advised to download the latest app updates if it’s available. If the problem still persists, you are urged to make an appointment and send your device to the nearest authorised service centre.

It isn’t clear if the pink screen issue affects other older iPhone models. Currently, it appears to be affecting users of the iPhone 13 series which includes the iPhone 13 Pro. Are you having a similar issue with your iPhone? Let us know in the comments below.
