Besides introducing the Realme Pad and Realme GT Neo 2, Realme Malaysia has also introduced two new budget smartphones, the Realme Narzo 50i and the Realme C25Y. Both are priced from under RM600 and you can get RM100 off during its early bird sale.
Pricing and availability
The Realme Narzo 50i with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is officially priced at RM499 in Malaysia. It comes in two colours – Mint Green and Carbon Black. During the first day sale at 12am on 11th November, the device can be yours for only RM399 on Shopee.
Meanwhile, the Realme C25Y comes in two spec options and below is the official pricing in Malaysia:
- Realme C25Y 4GB RAM + 64GB storage – RM599
- Realme C25Y 4GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM699
The C25Y is available in either Glacier Blue or Metal Grey. The 64GB model is offered only on Shopee and there was a RM100 off promo on 3rd November. Meanwhile, the 128GB storage variant can be purchased on both Lazada and Shopee, and it will go on sale on 6th November 2021.
Realme Narzo 50i
The Narzo 50i is Realme’s new entry-level offering which claims to offer the best affordable entertainment experience. It features a 6.5″ HD+ (1600×720 pixels) LCD display and runs on an unspecified 1.6GHz Octa-core processor with IMG 8322 graphics. It has 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card.
Despite having a huge camera bump, the Narzo 50i gets a single 8MP f/2.0 main camera, while the front gets a 5MP selfie shooter that sits in a notch. In terms of connectivity, this is a dual-SIM 4G LTE device and it supports a rather low 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2. There’s no fingerprint sensor but it does come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery that charges via a microUSB port. Out of the box, it runs on Android 11 with Realme UI Go Edition skin on top.
Realme C25Y
The Realme C25Y is a budget phone that comes with a 50MP camera and it appears to target Xiaomi’s Redmi 10. Upfront, the C25Y comes with a 6.5″ HD+ (1600×720 pixels) LCD display and it runs on a 12nm Unisoc T618 processor. In Malaysia, the device is paired with 4GB of RAM and can be configured up to 128GB storage which is also expandable via microSD card.
For taking pictures, the device gets a triple-camera setup that sits in a 4×4 looking array. It gets a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter, a 2MP B&W Lens for portrait effects and another 2MP camera for macro. Similar to the Narzo 50i, the device also gets a notch that houses an 8MP selfie camera.
The device supports 4G LTE, 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. Powering the Narzo 50i is a 5,000mAh battery and it supports 18W quick charge via a micro USB port. Out of the box, it runs on Android 11 with Realme R Edition skin on top.
