Realme Malaysia has brought the Realme Book thin-and-light laptop to our shores, just a day after it was revealed in a global launch. It’s set to go up against the likes of the Huawei MateBook D and Honor MagicBook series in the laptop market.

Realme Book specs

Realme Book Malaysia

To recap, the Realme Book has a 14-inch, 3:2 IPS display with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels. The display has a peak brightness of 400nits and covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut too. It has a 90% screen-to-body ratio and the display gets a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass too for scratch resistance. You won’t however find a touchscreen option on the Realme Book.

Powering the laptops are 11th Gen Intel Core processors, with either the Core i3-1115G4 or the Core i5-1135G7 underneath. The Core i3 model is mated to 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD and has Intel UHD graphics. It’ll only have support for WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1, and for I/O you get 1x USB-A 3.1 port, 2x USB-C 3.2 port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Meanwhile, the Realme Book with the Core i5 has up to 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD along with Intel Xe graphics. Realme has also upgraded its connectivity to WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. One of the USB-C 3.2 ports on the Core i5 models has also been buffed up to a Thunderbolt 4 port.

Keeping the lights on is a 54Whr battery with support for 65W Super-Fast Charge that nets you a 50% charge in just 30 minutes. According to Realme, you’ll be able to get up to 11 hours of use with the Realme Book. You’ll also find an extra large touchpad, a 3-mode backlit keyboard, stereo speakers, a fingerprint sensor and compatibility with Windows 11 whenever it launches. There’s a PC Connect function too, which lets you mirror your smartphone onto the laptop.

Impressively, all this gets housed into a chassis that’s just 14.9mm thick, weighing 1.38kg. The all-metallic body is made of CNC and sandblasted aluminum, and comes in two colour choices: Real Grey and Real Blue.

Pricing and availability

The Realme Book will be available to purchase in Malaysia on the 27th of August onwards. Initially, only two configurations will be available, while a further third model with the Core i5 and 16GB of RAM will be coming to Malaysia soon.

The Core i5 model will also only be sold online at their Shopee store, though there won’t be a promo price for that. Instead, if you purchase the Realme Book Core i5 model in-person at Senheng, Courts and all other authorised stores, you’ll get the first sales free gift of a laptop bag and a Bluetooth mouse.
