Sony offers solution for Xperia Tablet S water resistant issue

Xperia Tablet S Splash Proof recall

The Sony Xperia Tablet S which was announced recently has hit a snag when its water resistant capabilities was discovered to be not up to par. This is due to a gap between the display panel and the back panel. While it is unclear if any users had reported any water issues, Sony has offered free inspections to owners. As much as 100,000 units of the Xperia Tablet S have been sold so far.

For affected units, Sony is offering repair, replacement or refund at no extra charge.
