After introducing the C17 last month, Realme Malaysia has just announced the C15 for the local market. This is a new sub-RM600 budget smartphone that boasts a huge 6,000mAh battery.

Pricing and availability

The Realme C15 comes in two spec options and below are the official pricing in Malaysia:

4GB RAM + 64GB storage – RM599
4GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM699

If you’re interested, you can buy the 64GB model starting at 12am on 25th November 2020 on Shopee. As an introductory offer, the device is offered with a Purchase and Purchase promo where you can get the Realme Watch for RM99 during its first day sale.

If you prefer to get it from authorised dealers, the device will be available from 28th November 2020 and it will come with a free foldable desktop phone stand while stocks last. The Realme C15 will also be offered on contract via Digi from the 26th November 2020.

According to Realme Malaysia, the higher-spec 4GB RAM + 128GB storage version will be released at a later date. The C15 is available in 2 colours – Seagull Silver and Marine Blue.

Hardware Specs

The C15 features a 6.5″ HD+ display that pushes a resolution of 1600×720 pixels resolution. Unlike the RM899 C17, you don’t get a high 90Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, the C15 for Malaysia is running on a Snapdragon 460 processor instead of the MediaTek Helio G35 that’s offered for the Indian market.

In the camera department, the device gets a quad-camera setup featuring a 13MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and two 2MP cameras for depth effects. For selfies, the C15 has an 8MP front camera that sits on a tiny notch.

Powering the Realme C15 is a huge 6,000mAh that supports 18W fast charging. According to Realme’s product page, you can get up to 27 hours of YouTube and 14 hours of gaming on a single charge.

Despite being a 2020 device, it still uses a microUSB charging port. The budget phone still retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated microSD card slot and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Out of the box, it runs on Android 10 with Realme UI skin on top.
