The next big bang-for-buck smartphone is on the horizon. Ahead of the Xiaomi‘s Mi 10T series launch tomorrow, we’re getting what looks like a real look at the full specs for both the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro.

This information comes courtesy of leakster Roland Quandt and a lot of it lines up with what we’ve already seen in previous leaks. According to his report, both the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. That’s still Qualcomm’s high-end flagship chip, but it’s not quite as fast as their boosted Snapdragon 865+. Still, I don’t think this will be particularly noticeable for most people.

Besides that the Mi 10T will apparently come with 6GB of LPDDR5 memory and 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. On the other hand, the Mi 10T Pro is said to pack 8GB of LPDDR5 memory and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. High-end stuff, which is good to see.

Up front, both smartphones will reportedly feature 6.67″ Full HD+ LCD displays. But, the interesting thing here is that they are also rumoured to feature a refresh rate of 144Hz. This kind of fast refresh-rate is only available on a handful of devices, usually gaming smartphones like the ROG Phone 3. Personally, I would have rather had a nice AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate instead because that seems like the sweet spot between speed and image quality.

The major difference between the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro, however, lies in their camera systems. Yes, they’re both triple camera setups, but they come with different main sensors. The Mi 10T packs a 64MP wide-angle main camera while the Mi 10T Pro will feature a 108MP wide-angle main camera instead. That said, both main cameras are supported by a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro camera. Both also feature 20MP selfie cameras that live in a punch hole in the display.

Besides the camera and memory configuration, the rest of the phones seem to be identical. Both will pack large 5,000 mAh batteries with support for 33W fast-charging. Both will feature side-mounted fingerprint scanners, dual SIM support, stereo speakers as well as an IR blaster. Oh, and they will also be 5G-capable devices.

That said, these are still leaks and rumours so take it with a pinch of salt. The good news is that the global launch will be happening tomorrow, on the 30th of September 2020 so you won’t have to wait long to get the full details. Meanwhile, the local Malaysian launch for the device will take place on the 6th of October 2020 and you can bet that we’ll be all over that launch.

For now, rumour has it that the Mi 10T will retail for EUR 499 (~RM2,425) while the Mi 10T Pro will retail for EUR 599 (~RM2,909) for the base model and EUR 649 (~RM3,152) for the top spec. There are also rumours that there will be a “lite” version that’s powered by the new Snapdragon 750G processor.
