The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series is now available for pre-order and it will go on sale on the 21st August 2020. Typically, the best way to experience the device is to go to your nearest Samsung showroom, but with the current pandemic, it is always advisable to avoid crowded spaces. In Singapore, the Korean smartphone maker has introduced a nifty initiative which enables its customers to try it out the latest Galaxy Note 20 at the comfort of their home.
From 6 August until 6 September, Samsung Singapore is offering a Galaxy Test Drive program where you can experience the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra at home for 15 minutes. This program is offered for free and you can book the Test Drive on their website.
A delivery personnel will deliver a product demo kit which contains one live unit plus additional dummy sets which would give you a closer look of the other colour options. The box also contains dummy units of the Galaxy Buds+ and Buds Live as well as a UV Steriliser and LED View Cover.
For greater safety, the test drive units are disinfected after every session and the delivery staff are required to wear a mask and have their temperature checked. As the delivery person isn’t a product specialist, they are offering a virtual Samsung vPromoter where you can get answers to your product questions remotely.
Overall, this is a clever way by Samsung to allow customers to experience their latest products while maintaining social distancing. In Singapore, the Galaxy Note 20 series is also going on sale on the 21st of August and they also have the same device options as Malaysia.
In Singapore, the Galaxy Note 20 LTE starts from SGD 1,398 (about RM4,276) and the 5G version is priced at SGD 1,548 (about RM4,736). Meanwhile, the top of the line Note 20 Ultra is going for SGD 1,898 (about RM5,806). Similar to Malaysia, the device is bundled with the latest Galaxy Buds Live for the Note 20 Ultra while the standard model comes with the Galaxy Buds+.
