Honor has launched the Honor 30 series, with three variants in the series. We’ve already talked about the standard Honor 30, as well as the 30 Pro—now, here’s everything you need to know about the range-topping Honor 30 Pro+.
Price and availability
There’s a single variant available for the Honor 30 Pro+, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There are two colours to choose from: black and green; the silver option appears to be limited to the non-plus Pro model.
Retail pricing in China for the Honor 30 Pro+ is set at CNY4,999 (~RM3,082), with pre-orders now available. Official sales will start on the 21st of April, along with the rest of the series.

Specs
The feature that really sets the Pro+ model from the standard Honor 30 and 30 Pro is arguably the new 90Hz refresh rate display. High refresh rates are all the rage now, and we’re even seeing 120Hz displays on premium flagship devices today.
In general, the display is a 6.57″ AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, and there are also curved edges to offer a more immersive experience.
Under the hood, the Honor 30 Pro+ is powered by the Huawei Kirin 990 5G—the same chipset used by the Pro model, as well as flagship devices from parent-company Huawei.
There’s a triple-camera setup on the rear of the device: a 50MP “super-sensitive” main camera, a 16MP ultra-wide angle shooter, as well as an 8MP telephoto lens which supports OIS. You’ll have 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 50x digital zoom with the rear camera module.
Just like the Pro variant, the Honor 30 Pro+ has dual front-facing cameras that sit within a hole-punch cutout up top: 32MP and 8MP selfie shooters.
To sustain the Honor 30 Pro+, you get the same 4,000mAh battery as the rest of the series. In addition to 40W wired charging via USB-C, Honor has introduced wireless charging. You get 27W wireless charging, and there’s even wireless reverse charging. Do note that the wireless charging pad isn’t included with the phone.
Like many 2020 smartphones, there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack. However, stereo speakers are available on the Plus model, just like the Pro model, while the Pro models are rated at IP54 for ingress protection.
And of course, Honor is subject to the same restraints that its parent company, Huawei, is subjected to. This means that when the Honor 30 Pro+ reaches international markets, we expect to see Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), as opposed to Google Mobile Services (GMS).
