The new Proton X70 2020 is launching this coming Wednesday and you can catch the event live at 3pm. Proton has posted its launch teaser on Facebook which supposedly gives a glimpse of the new car.

The X70 2020 teaser video doesn’t show any significant differences from the current model. It still shows the “Hi Proton” voice command feature and it is still offered with the same brown Nappa Leather seats with power seat controls at least for the high-spec model.

Towards the end of the video, we get a glimpse of the front of the vehicle which carries the older Proton shield badge. The 2020 model will carry the new circular Proton logo as revealed by The Ajerul.

The Proton X70 2020 is expected to retain the same exterior design as the CBU version that was launched in 2018. Based on the leaked variant list, the new 2020 model will feature a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, rear seat recline, power tailgate and front-seat ventilation. The list also showed a total of four X70 variants and all of them will be 2WD. There are no pricing details yet but it is expected to be similar to the current fully imported models.
