CONFIRMED: HTC EVO 3D launching next week

UPDATE: HTC EVO 3D RRP at RM2199 from IMCC Network.

3D Android smart phones have finally invaded. The HTC EVO 3D will be launched in Malaysia next week as indicated earlier.

This makes it the 2nd Android device with 3D capabilities to hit Malaysia after the LG Optimus Pad which was introduced by Celcom. However unlike the Optimus Pad, the EVO 3D offers autostereoscopic display, which means you can view 3D content without glasses.

In terms of specs, the EVO 3D features a 4.3″ qHD (supports 960×540) 3D screen, dual core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 1GB of storage with expandable microSD slot and runs on the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense.

At the back, there’s a dual 5MP camera which lets you shoot 2D images at 5MP and 3D images at 2MP. For videos, it lets you shoot 720p HD in both 2D and 3D. Over at the front there’s a 1.3MP camera.

No details on the pricing yet but we are expecting Maxis to bundle the device. For more info on the specifications, head here.
