The Honor View 20 is going on sale in Malaysia this coming weekend and we are one of the first countries in the world to get the device. The View 20 is a flagship smartphone that comes with a punch-hole display and it has a high-resolution 48MP main camera.
Pricing and availability
The Honor View 20 comes in two spec variants and below is the official Malaysian pricing:
Honor View 20 6GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM1,999
Honor View 20 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM2,499
For the 128GB storage version, it comes in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue, while the 256GB version that’s co-designed with Moschino is available in Phantom Blue. The Phantom Red option is expected to be released in Malaysia at a later date.
The device will be on sale starting this Saturday, 26th January 2019 and it will be available at all authorised outlets.
Roadshow details
The Honor roadshow is taking place at 1 Utama, Petaling Jaya from the 26th to 27th January 2019. The first 200 customers will get an Honor Watch Magic and a backpack (worth more than RM700 combined). Meanwhile, the next 800 customers will walk away with an Honor Band 4 and a backpack.
If you can’t make it to the roadshow at 1 Utama, Honor is also giving out the Honor Band 4 for the first 10 buyers at Honor experience stores nationwide.
Maxis RM1 contract bundle
If you prefer to get the Honor View 20 on contract, Maxis is offering the device from as low as RM1. This is tied to the MaxisONE 158 plan for a period of 24-months. If you’re heading to 1 Utama, this contract offer is available at the Maxis Centre located in new wing.

Honor View 20 recap
The Honor View 20 comes with a 6.4″ Full HD+ display and instead of a notch, it has an in-screen 25MP selfie camera. The device runs on a flagship class Kirin 980 processor which is the same unit that’s powering the Huawei Mate 20 series.
For taking pictures, it features a 48MP main camera with AI assistance and it has a secondary 3D ToF camera for augmented reality and “Kinect-like” experiences. The device also gets a large 4,000mAh battery that charges via USB-C and it supports a fast 22.5W SuperCharge charging. Out of the box it runs on Android 9 Pie with Honor Magic UI 2.0 skin on top.
