Huawei Mate 20 gets RM400 price cut for Chinese New Year

If you’re planning to get a new smartphone, Huawei Malaysia has introduced a new promotion just in time for Chinese New Year. The Huawei Mate 20 and the Nova 3i are getting a price cut where you can save as much as RM400.

The Huawei Mate 20 which was launched with an RM2,799 price tag is now going for only RM2,399. This is one of Huawei’s top-of-the-line models that comes with a 6.5″ Full HD+ display that has a tiny notch at the top. It runs on a Kirin 980 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Mate 20 also features a triple-camera setup that consists of a 12MP f/1.8 main, 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle and a 8MP f/2.4 telephoto cameras. Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery which charges via USB-C. Huawei claims that its bundled SuperCharger can charge the device up to 58% in 30 minutes. Unlike the Mate 20 Pro, it doesn’t come with an in-display fingerprint sensor or IP68 dust and water resistance.

If you’re looking for a bundled offer, the Huawei Health Treasures Chinese New Year pack which consists of a Mate 20 (RRP: RM2,399) and Huawei Watch GT (RRP: RM899) is now going for only RM3,188. This bundle was previously priced at RM3,588.

For those who are looking for something more affordable, the Huawei Nova 3i which was launched at RM1,299 is now offered for RM999. This is Huawei’s mid-range selfie-centric smartphone that featured a 6.3″ Full HD+ display and it runs on a Kirin 710 processor. The device comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage that is expandable via a microSD card.

The Nova 3i comes with a 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup at the rear, while the front gets a 24MP + 2MP dual-camera combo which supports a host of AI features. Powering the Nova 3i is a 3,340mAh battery and it charges via microUSB.

These prices will take effect starting from 21st January 2019.
