Tesla Cybercab has officially landed in Malaysia, but before you run off to download the Tesla Robotaxi app, the autonomous vehicle is here just as a tech showcase. Mid Valley Megamall KL has been chosen as the first stop for Cybercab’s showcase tour in Malaysia.

Tesla Cybercab Quick Specs

Featuring a gold-tinted exterior, the Cybercab is essentially a sleek, 2-door liftback coupe equipped with upward-opening butterfly doors. While there is no frunk, it sports a deep 572L boot with a payload capacity of up to 100 kg—sufficient for two checked suitcases and two carry-on bags, according to Tesla.
Tesla is known for extreme minimalism, but the Cybercab takes it to a whole new level. Step inside, and you won’t find a steering wheel, accelerator pedal, brake pedal, or even a traditional glovebox.

Instead, the cabin features two sculpted seats, a massive 22-inch central display, and a simple pair of window switches sitting just beneath the screen. Aside from displaying route progress and arrival estimates, the touchscreen controls cabin climate, streams media entertainment, and pops the doors open once the trip wraps up.
While Tesla didn’t officially list the Cybercab’s performance benchmarks, an EPA certification filing revealed that the vehicle runs a front-wheel-drive single motor pushing 163 kW (219 hp).

Paired with an estimated 48 kWh battery pack, the EPA filing logged an unadjusted lab result of 673 km (418 miles). Applying the EPA’s typical 0.7 adjustment factor translates to an estimated real-world combined range of around 472 km (293 miles).
During the vehicle’s original reveal in 2024, Tesla CEO Elon Musk claimed the production Cybercab would target a price tag under USD30,000 (~RM122,658) and is expected to be ready for sale to general consumers in 2027.
