JPJ suspends MyEG as collection agent effective 5 Oct

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced the suspension of MyEG Group as its collection agent, effective 12:01 AM on 5 October 2026. This means you can no longer use MyEG for JPJ-related matters such as driving licence and road tax renewal.

According to an official press statement released by JPJ today, the decision stems from non-compliance with agreed contractual terms and conditions, as well as unresolved obligations and responsibilities that have yet to be fulfilled by the service provider.

However, JPJ said that existing bookings for the computerised Driver Education Co-Curriculum (KPP01) test made through MYEG before 5 October will remain valid and proceed as scheduled. New bookings from 5 October onward must be made directly through KPP Test Centres at registered driving institutes nationwide.

The suspension follows mounting scrutiny over the company’s financial obligations. Just hours before JPJ’s announcement, The Straits Times of Singapore reported that Zetrix AI has been facing headwinds over unremitted funds collected on behalf of the Road Transport Department, with total outstanding sums reportedly exceeding RM200 million as of late September.

Official Channels for JPJ Transactions

Despite the suspension of MyEG Group, JPJ assured the public that service delivery will continue without disruption through its network of official platforms. Vehicle owners and drivers can perform their regular road transport transactions through the following official avenues:

Road Tax Renewal
– JPJ counters
– MyJPJ app (private and e-hailing vehicles)
– JPJ public online portal (private and e-hailing vehicles)
– JPJ kiosks (private vehicles)
– JPJ mobile counters (private and commercial vehicles)
– Pos Malaysia (private vehicles)
– Puspakom (private and de-controlled commercial vehicles).

Driving Licence (CDL) and Learner’s Permit Renewal (LDL)

– JPJ counters / kiosks / mobile counters
– Pos Malaysia counters (CDL only).

Traffic Summons

– JPJ kiosks (Malaysian private individual motorcycles)
– JPJ public online portal (Malaysian private individual and company motorcycles)
– eAuto service (temporary transfer and eSerahan)
