Oppo has officially confirmed that its next flagship smartphone, the Find X10 Pro Max will launch globally powered by MediaTek’s new 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro processor.

The upcoming premium device focuses heavily on sustained performance and power efficiency, debuting a dual-NPU AI architecture and a co-developed Laminar Flow Engine.

Arriving just months after the Find X9 Ultra made its local debut in April, this announcement signals a rapid turnaround for Oppo’s premium lineup in international markets.

Dimensity 9600 Pro: Moving to 2nm architecture

The key highlight of the upcoming flagship is the adoption of the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, a chipset built on TSMC’s newer 2nm (N2P) fabrication process. Smaller chip designs generally handle heat much better, and Oppo claims this new process makes the processor up to 61% more multi-core energy-efficient than its predecessor.

In terms of CPU architecture, the Dimensity 9600 Pro utilises an “All-Big-Core” setup, pairing two C2-Ultra cores clocked at 4.55GHz with six additional performance cores. Oppo stated that this configuration results in a 17% overall performance bump, aided by independent frequency controls for each core to optimise power usage during sustained heavy workloads.

Graphics processing is handled by the new G2-Ultra NX GPU, which delivers roughly 27% higher graphical performance under load while supporting enhanced ray tracing and newer neural graphics rendering for intensive gaming.

Dual-NPU approach and custom rendering

The Dimensity 9600 Pro features a dual-NPU design. The high-performance unit handles heavier computational tasks yielding a 51% faster Large Language Model (LLM) prefill rate, while the secondary, highly efficient NPU consumes 40% less power for background tasks.

To tie all of this hardware together, the Find X10 Pro Max will debut the “Oppo Laminar Flow Engine,” a software-hardware integration co-developed by Oppo and MediaTek. This engine restructures the phone’s rendering architecture, tying it closer to system scheduling to balance power consumption and UI responsiveness.

Full lineup and specs confirmed for 22 September China launch

While the global press release focuses on the new chipset, official marketing materials and reports have revealed the rest of the hardware. Oppo China has confirmed that the Find X10 series will officially launch in China on 22 September, with four distinct models in the lineup: the Find X10, Find X10 E, Find X10 Pro, and the Find X10 Pro Max. Alongside the new smartphone lineup, OPPO is also set to introduce its latest ecosystem wearables at the same event, including the OPPO Watch S2 smartwatch and the OPPO Enco X4 flagship TWS earbuds.

The GSMArena confirms that the Find X10 Pro Max will feature a display with ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels and it will be offered in configurations up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, available in Moon White, Light Titanium, and Warm Orange colourways. The standard Find X10 shares these exact RAM and storage tiers but will launch in Clear Orange, Ice Blue, and Light Titanium.

Beyond the memory configurations, official teasers confirm the Find X10 Pro Max will continue its imaging partnership with Hasselblad. As detailed on Weibo by Oppo Find X Series Product Manager Zhou Shijie, the device will feature an unprecedented triple 200MP camera system on the rear.

Zhou elaborated that the new system is designed to deliver “ultra-high image quality” while actively reducing the dependence on AI-generated fake textures. This setup includes a 200MP primary sensor equipped with DeepPix technology for 17 stops of dynamic range, a 200MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP telephoto lens with 10cm telemacro capabilities and CIPA 7.5 optical stabilisation.

Furthermore, the camera array will utilise Oppo’s second-generation Danxia colour system to ensure highly accurate ambient light and colour reproduction.

The device will be powered by a massive 8,000mAh single-cell Glacier Battery, which Oppo claims comes with a 5-year battery health guarantee. The latest promotional posters confirm that the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max will be the first devices to launch with ColorOS 17 out of the box.

At the time of writing, Oppo Malaysia has not confirmed local pricing or availability for the Find X10 series, including the flagship Find X10 Pro Max, but we expect to find out more about its local release during the upcoming global launch event.
