Asus ROG G1000 flagship gaming desktop arrives in Malaysia with Ryzen 9 9950X3D and RTX 5080, priced at RM29,999

If you are looking for a pre-built gaming rig with serious horsepower and have a sizeable budget to match Asus ROG Malaysia has officially introduced the ROG G1000.

Built inside a 104L ATX Ultra Tower chassis, this flagship desktop packs high-end hardware including AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5080 GPU.

On top of the specs, it introduces two new design features: AniMe Holo holographic fan lighting and an isolated ROG Thermal Atrium cooling chamber.

Pricing, availability, and e-Store bundle

The ROG G1000 will set you back RM29,999 in Malaysia. It comes with a 3-year on-site warranty from Asus Malaysia.

If you are planning to get a complete desktop and display setup, Asus is offering an exclusive bundle on the official e-Store. You can get the ROG G1000 paired with the ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS gaming monitor for RM32,999, which saves you RM2,650 compared to buying both items separately (combined MSRP of RM35,649).

AniMe Holo customisation and ROG Thermal Atrium cooling

The most eye-catching visual feature on the G1000 is AniMe Holo, which integrates full-color holographic fans directly into the pre-built chassis. The side panel houses a 380mm holographic fan powered by 720 LEDs, complemented by dual 215mm front fans with 404 LEDs each.

Through Asus Armoury Crate, you can customise what these fans project, ranging from custom text and animations to live system temperatures.

For cooling, Asus uses a Tri-zone Airflow design built around the ROG Thermal Atrium. Instead of drawing air from inside a warm case, the 420mm AIO liquid cooler and three 140mm intake fans sit in an isolated chamber to pull in fresh ambient air directly. Asus claims this lowers CPU intake temperatures by up to 16°C.

Meanwhile, the RTX 5080 GPU and the 1000W 80+ Gold power supply operate in separate airflow paths to keep heat from bleeding across components.

Specs and upgradability

Under the hood, the ROG G1000 runs on an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPU (16 cores, 32 threads, and 3D V-Cache) alongside an ROG Astral NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition graphics card.

The system sits on an AMD X870 chipset motherboard and comes out of the box with 64GB of DDR5 RAM (2 x 32GB) and a 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. If you plan to upgrade storage or memory down the road, the board offers four DDR5 U-DIMM slots (supporting up to 128GB total) and four M.2 PCIe SSD slots.

For connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support. Front panel ports include two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports (5Gbps), one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port (10Gbps), and separate 3.5mm jacks for audio.

On the back, the motherboard provides two USB4 Type-C ports (40Gbps), multiple USB-A ports, a 2.5Gb Ethernet port, and HDMI 2.1b output, while the GPU adds two HDMI 2.1b and three DisplayPort 2.1b ports.
