MG Malaysia is offering an RM11,000 discount for the MGS5 EV CKD LUX variant in conjunction with this year’s Merdeka season. Through this deal, the top-of-the-line MGS5 EV CKD variant is significantly more affordable than before.
With the new offer, the price of the MGS5 EV CKD LUX is reduced from RM116,900 to RM105,900. This is just RM5,000 more than the family’s newly announced base model, the MGS5 EV CKD COM, which is priced at RM100,900 inclusive of launch rebate.
Given the long list of differences between the two variants, especially in terms of performance, range, and charging, we reckoned that the LUX variant may have the upper hand as long as this rebate is made available to customers.

In terms of colour options, the MGS5 EV CKD LUX can be obtained in Grey, Silver, and Gold. It is covered by a 7-year / 150,000km vehicle warranty together with an 8-year / 180,000km warranty for its high-voltage battery and another 8-year / 160,000km warranty for its drive motor as well as the motor control unit.
