Following earlier teasers, CMF by Nothing has officially launched the CMF Clip Pro, marking the budget-focused brand’s first entry into the open-wearable stereo (OWS) category.
As highlighted in our previous article, the CMF Clip Pro moves away from traditional in-ear silicone tips and over-ear hooks in favour of an open-ear cuff clip design.

OpenFit Arc design and titanium C-bridge
The foundation of the CMF Clip Pro is its OpenFit Arc architecture, engineered around a three-point balance system to distribute clamping force evenly. Its primary support rests on a 13.8mm listening ball, while an auxiliary comfort pod provides positioning behind the ear.
Connecting the two components is a 30mm C-bridge with an flexible opening angle ranging from 40° to 53.5°, allowing it to adapt to various ear contours without creating pressure points.
Inside the C-bridge sits a 0.5mm flexible titanium memory wire encased in skin-friendly TPU, designed to retain structural grip across thousands of wearing cycles.
Colourways and IP54 durability
While initial speculation suggested a simple white and signature orange release, CMF has officially confirmed three distinct colourways: Light Grey, Dark Grey, and Coral.
The earbuds and case are finished in a soft-touch PC+ABS coating designed to resist daily wear and dirt. Built for everyday use and physical activities, the earbuds carry an IP54 rating for dust and water splash resistance, with each bud weighing 5.92g.
10.8mm driver and LDAC Hi-Res audio
To overcome the low-frequency energy loss typical of unsealed open-ear designs, the CMF Clip Pro features a 10.8mm single-coil dual-magnet dynamic driver.
The driver utilises a TPU+LCP composite diaphragm with a 0.65mm driver excursion to maintain punchy bass output without distorting at higher volumes.
Audio processing is enhanced by CMF’s Malleus Bass Boost algorithm to boost low-end response. The Clip Pro is also Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified, supporting the high-bitrate LDAC codec along with standard AAC and SBC codecs over Bluetooth 5.4.
Dual microphones, dedicated VPU, and Anti-Leakage mode
For voice calls, each earbud is equipped with two microphones: a primary call mic and a dedicated wind-resistant mic. These work in tandem with a hardware Voice Processing Unit (VPU) that isolates vocal frequencies from background noise in real time.
To address audio privacy concerns associated with open-ear products, CMF has introduced an Anti-Leakage mode.
Configured via the Nothing X companion app, this feature targets and suppresses mid-to-high frequencies that typically spill into surrounding environments, offering three selectable states: Off, Calls Only, and Audio + Calls.
Signature Smart Dial case and tactile controls
In keeping with CMF’s distinct design aesthetic, the charging case features a physical, rotatable Smart Dial.
Users can customise the dial via the Nothing X app to execute one-handed controls such as volume adjustments, track skipping, call handling, or toggling Low Latency mode.
In addition to the case dial, each earbud features integrated physical buttons for direct playback and call control, offering reliable tactile feedback during movement when touch controls can be imprecise.
Battery performance and connectivity
The CMF Clip Pro provides up to 10 hours of standalone playback on a single charge.
The charging case extends total battery life to 32.5 hours under standard settings, or up to 36 hours when utilising Long Battery Mode. USB-C fast charging provides up to 4 hours of playback from a 10-minute charge.
For seamless multi-device usage, the earbuds support dual-device connection, enabling automatic audio switching between paired devices like a laptop and a smartphone.
The earbuds also feature Low Latency mode for gaming and video playback, along with Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair support.
CMF Clip Pro Malaysia availability
CMF has confirmed that the Clip Pro will be available in Malaysia soon via nothing.tech, partner channels, and selected online and offline retailers.
While official local pricing and exact release dates have yet to be announced, CMF stated that availability details will be shared in due course. For context, the CMF Clip Pro is priced at EUR 79 (approx. RM372) in Europe.
