Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic Malaysia: 8KHz polling, Hall Effect switches, priced from RM509

Razer has expanded its esports keyboard lineup with the introduction of the Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz series.

Moving into the Hall Effect magnetic category, the new keyboards are available in Tenkeyless and Mini 65% form factors, combining true 8000Hz HyperPolling with highly adjustable switches tailored for competitive gaming.

Hall Effect switches and rapid polling

The core of the new lineup is the Razer Hall Effect Magnetic Switches. Instead of traditional physical contacts, these switches utilise magnetic sensing for actuation.

This allows users to adjust the actuation point anywhere between 0.1mm and 4.0mm, providing the flexibility to set ultra-sensitive inputs for gaming or deeper presses for standard typing.

Razer has paired these adjustable switches with true 8000Hz HyperPolling to significantly reduce input delay. According to the company, setting the keyboard to a 0.1mm actuation point with an 8000Hz polling rate results in a 0.60ms average latency.

The switches also feature Rapid Trigger Mode, which dynamically resets keys based on upward movement rather than a fixed physical reset point, allowing for faster repeated keystrokes. Durability is rated at a 100-million keystroke lifespan.

Advanced input controls and browser-based customisation

Razer has integrated several new input control features designed for precise execution. Snap Flex allows users to assign two actions to a single key, triggering one action upon pressing the key and another upon release.

Dynamic Keystroke maps up to four actions to a single keypress based on actuation depth, while Instant Cancel Control lets users immediately stop unwanted follow-up actions.

Additionally, Dual-Keypress Priority prevents accidental keypresses from overriding intended movement inputs during fast-paced gameplay.

To manage these settings, the keyboards support the standard Razer Synapse software on PC.

For users who don’t want to install additional software, you can also use Synapse Web. This is a web-browser based interface that allows users to tweak keyboard settings, save them directly to onboard profiles, and maintain consistent setups across different computers.

In Malaysia, the Tenkeyless model is officially priced at RM599. Those who prefer a more compact desk setup can opt for the Mini 65% version, which retails for RM509.
