If you use Petronas and Setel regularly, they have just introduced Setel Savers, new membership subscription plan which is designed to unlock more rewards, greater savings and exclusive perks.

While it doesn’t give you discounts for petrol and diesel purchases, Setel Savers subscribers can earn more than over 700 Mesra Rewards points and up to RM60 cashback for various spending.

To get you started, Setel is offering two months trial subscription for free. After that, the Setel Savers membership will cost you RM4.90 per month.

Essentially, the Setel Savers plan lets you earn extra 2x points on top of the standard points you earn on non-fuel spending. This includes parking, motor insurance, road tax, auto assistance, bill payment, Setel QR (excluding DuitNow QR), Cafe Mesra, Petronas Shop and EV Charging.

For Kedai Mesra purchases, you can earn 100 points with a minimum spend of RM10, up to 4 times per cycle (max 400 points).

It is also stated that you can earn up to 300 bonus points for EV charging with a cumulative spend of RM300.

In addition, you can also get extra cashback rewards such as RM25 cashback with Car Service (minimum spend of RM250), RM25 cashback for Motor Insurance renewal and RM10 cashback for Battery Replacement.

From the looks of it, there’s no extra points for fuel purchases. At the moment, the amount of points you earn is based on your Mesra Rewards membership tier.

If you’re on Junior level, you get 1.5x points for every litre while on Explorer level, you’ll earn 2x points per litre. If you’re on the highest Hero tier, you can earn 3x points for every litre purchased. The current point rate for fuel purchases is currently valid until 30th June 2026.

For more info, you can check out the Setel Savers page.
