If you’re looking for a smartphone with a huge battery, Huawei Malaysia has just launched the Huawei Nova 15 Max.

Being the “Max” model in the Nova series, it packs a huge 8,500mAh battery, which Huawei says is the largest ever fitted in a Huawei smartphone.

It also doubles as a large screen entertainment device on the go with a large OLED display and a pair of stereo speakers.

Huawei Nova 15 Max Malaysia pricing and availability

The Huawei Nova 15 Max is officially priced at RM1,699 for the sole 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It is offered in Blush Gold and Golden Black colour options.

As part of its first sale promotion, the Huawei Nova 15 Max can be yours for only RM1,499 with its RM200 instant rebate promo.

In addition, customers will also receive freebies worth up to RM827, including a Huawei Band 10, a one-year APAC warranty and two years of unlimited-time free battery replacement.

The device is available via Huawei Experience Stores nationwide, Huawei’s official online store, as well as its official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.

Huawei Nova 15 Max Malaysia specs and features

The Huawei Nova 15 Max features a 6.84″ OLED display with a 2756 × 1272 pixels resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness.

For photography, the Huawei Nova 15 Max gets a 50MP f/1.9 RYYB Ultra Vision Camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 ultra lighting camera. For selfies, it gets an 8MP f/2.0 front camera that sits in a punch-hole on the display.

The device also packs symmetrical stereo dual speakers with 90-degree ultra-wide sound field, alongside a Volume Boost Mode for louder audio output.

For improved durability Huawei says the Nova 15 Max has received SGS Premium Performance Mark Drop Resistance 5-Star certification and comes with IP65-rated dust and water resistance. It also supports Splash Touch, allowing the display to remain responsive even when wet.

The device also offers a dedicated X Button that can be customised for quick access to apps and shortcuts. The button can be configured to launch Gemini, WhatsApp, Touch ‘n Go eWallet and other frequently used apps.

In terms connectivity, the Nova 15 Max is a 4G device and it supports 802.11ax WiFi 7 with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC.

The Huawei Nova 15 Max’s headline feature is its massive 8,500mAh battery. It supports 40W Huawei SuperCharge Turbo wired charging and reverse wired charging, allowing users to top up compatible devices directly from the smartphone. Huawei claims the device can provide up to 48 hours of continuous calling, up to 27 hours of local video playback and up to 25 hours of map navigation.

To discover and download apps, it comes with Huawei AppGallery which covers majority of popular apps used by Malaysians.
