Honor MagicPad 4 Malaysia: This tablet runs Android and Linux, available from RM2,999

Besides the Magic V6, Honor Malaysia has officially launched the MagicPad 4, a new flagship tablet that aims to take on the iPad Pro.

Apart from packing flagship hardware such as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and a 165Hz OLED display, one of the MagicPad 4’s biggest highlight is its dual-OS offering that combines Android with a Linux-based environment for PC-class productivity.

The Honor MagicPad 4 is also one of the thinnest tablets around, measuring just 4.8mm thick while weighing approximately 450g.

Honor MagicPad 4 Malaysia pricing and availability

The Honor MagicPad 4 is now available for pre-order via Honor Malaysia’s official online channels including the Honor Online Store, Shopee and Lazada. The tablet will officially go on sale in Malaysia starting from 12 June 2026.

The Honor MagicPad 4 is available in the following configurations and they are offering RM400 rebate plus freebies during the pre-order promo:

  • 12GB RAM + 256GB storage (Grey, White) – RM3,399 (Promo: RM2,999)
  • 16GB RAM + 512GB storage (Grey) – RM3,999 (Promo: RM3,599)

The 12GB + 256GB online-exclusive model comes bundled with a Smart Keyboard (without touchpad), Magic Pencil 4s and a 2-Year Worry-Free Quality Assurance plan.

Meanwhile, the 16GB + 512GB model comes with a Smart Touch Keyboard, Magic Pencil 4s and a 2-Year Worry-Free Quality Assurance plan.

Honor MagicPad 4 specs and features

The Honor MagicPad 4 features a 12.3-inch 3K OLED display pushing a 3000×1920 resolution with a 3:2 aspect ratio and 165Hz refresh rate. The panel is surrounded by slim 3.9mm bezels with a 93% screen-to-body ratio. It also boasts up to 2400 nits of peak brightness along with 5,280Hz PWM dimming.

Under the hood, the tablet runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Depending on the spec, you can expand the memory up to 16GB extra with Honor RAM Turbo.

There’s also a 13MP main camera at the rear and a 9MP front camera.

The MagicPad 4 features a unique dual-OS architecture offers both Android OS and Linux OS experiences. Besides running Android for everyday apps and entertainment, Honor has integrated a Linux-based environment through LinuxLab, allowing users to perform more advanced tasks such as coding, AI development and desktop-style multitasking.

Honor has also partnered with software developers to bring desktop-class applications to the tablet, including a desktop version of WPS Office and a PC-class version of CapCut. When paired with a keyboard, the MagicPad 4 automatically switches into PC Mode, providing a more productive desktop interface with mouse support, keyboard shortcuts, advanced file management and support for up to 20 simultaneous windows.

For users within Apple’s ecosystem, the MagicPad 4 also supports seamless connectivity with iPhone, iPad and Mac devices through Honor Connect. Users can even use the tablet as an extended display for macOS devices.

It also packs a suite of AI features which include AI Memo, AI Speech-to-Text, AI Summary and AI Writing Tools.

The MagicPad 4 also supports 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 connectivity with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 6.0 and a 4-antenna design for improved wireless performance. It also comes with an 8-speaker setup with AI Spatial Audio and Bass Boost Technology for a more immersive audio experience.

Keeping the lights on is a 10,100mAh battery which supports 66W Honor SuperCharge. Out of the box, it runs on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
