Tune Talk has expanded access to its revamped Tune Talk app globally, allowing users worldwide to enjoy more than 1,450 games and drama titles without requiring a SIM card, mobile plan, or subscription.
The move opens up Tune Talk’s digital ecosystem beyond Malaysia, positioning the company as part of a growing wave of telco-backed platforms offering borderless, cloud-native digital services.
According to Tune Talk, anyone can now access the app using just a mobile number and email address, regardless of country.
Tune Talk clocks over 1 million downloads since May revamp
The prepaid telco said the global rollout marks another step in its transition from a mobile service provider into a broader digital lifestyle platform, with additional digital services expected to be announced in the coming months.
Tune Talk said the app has surpassed 1 million downloads since its major revamp in May 2025. Users are reported to spend an average of 36 minutes per day on the platform consuming entertainment and digital services.
The company added that with global access now enabled, it is on track to reach 3 million total combined downloads across Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Open to all users worldwide, free access and no SIM required

With the global rollout, the onboarding process has been simplified. New non-Tune Talk subscribers can register using any Malaysian or international mobile number, create an account with an email address, and begin using the app immediately.
Tune Talk emphasised that there are no SIM card requirements, no subscriptions, and no geographical restrictions.
The app is now available on Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery.
Micro dramas, casual games and digital services

The Tune Talk App focuses on short-form, mobile-first entertainment, offering a curated catalogue of micro dramas and casual games across multiple genres, including romance, comedy, action, thrillers, and lifestyle. Content platform powered by Jolibox is available in multiple languages, with multi-language subtitles supported.
According to Tune Talk, the platform currently includes over 700 drama titles and more than 750 games. It also offers redeemable vouchers and international services such as airtime credit transfer and utilities payment.
Tune Talk also stated that additional features, including ecommerce and global eSIM services, are planned to be introduced in the future.
To drive engagement, Tune Talk has introduced a rewards mechanism where users automatically earn points by watching drama titles or playing games within the app. These points can be redeemed for rewards and digital perks within Tune Talk’s ecosystem.
Group CEO and Co-founder Gurtaj Singh Padda said the expansion is about rethinking how digital value is delivered.
He said, “This isn’t about entertainment access. It’s about breaking the rules of how value is delivered. We’ve removed SIM cards, subscriptions, and borders to prove that a cloud-native, digital-first telco doesn’t need legacy limitations. We’re building a platform for anyone, anywhere; and we’re only getting started.”
