Shortly after turning on Bintulu’s first DC charger, Gentari x SEB have completed another new EV charger deployment located in Sri Aman Division. This is marks another major milestone in Sarawak’s EV infrastructure, making Simanggang the fifth town in Sarawak equipped with a DC charger.
Located at the mid point between Kuching and Sibu, the new EV charger makes road trips more seamless especially for EVs with shorter range. It is about 200km away from Kuching and 220km away from Sibu.
Effectively, EV owners can now travel with less range anxiety between Kuching and Miri as there’s a DC charging point every 200-230km.
Gentari x SEB has deployed a 120kW DC Charger at the parking area of Lepapa Hypermarket Sri Aman at Sri Aman Square.
The charger is equipped with two CCS2 nozzles and the covered charging bays are arranged in a V shape formation.
Similar to other Gentari x SEB EV charging locations, the DC charger is priced at RM1.40 per kWh.
With this new deployment, Gentari x SEB now have a total of 3 DC charger deployments. The first location is at ICOM Square in Kuching with 180kW and 50kW DC chargers. Meanwhile, the second location is at Bintulu Town Square which has a 180kW DC Charger.
