TNB Electron is set to launch its latest EV charging spot at Petron Tanjung Gemok in Endau-Rompin, Pahang, on 15 September. While it is not the first DC charger over there, with a maximum charging speed of 180kW, it is now the fastest in Endau-Rompin.

TNB Electron Petron Tanjung Gemok is located in the Kuala Rompin area of the Endau-Rompin, similar to most existing DC chargers in the vicinity, but it is closer to Endau town. Capable of servicing up to 2 EVs at the same time, it costs RM1.50 per kWh to utilise the new charger.

You can activate the charger by tapping your debit or credit card on the charger’s card payment terminal, which is powered by JuiceUp. For CIMB and Visa cardholders out there, you can enjoy discounts of up to 22% when they pay for their charging fee at TNB Electron Petron Tanjung Gemok using their card.

At the moment, the charger is not yet accessible via the Go To-U app. The CPO has previously said that it will integrate all of its chargers with a card payment terminal into the app in the near future, but the integration timeline has not yet been revealed to the public.

Free charging until 16 September
